About this webinar

Join us on May 17 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm ET as Nicole Lescota, RN, VP of Women’s Services, and Michele Pirkle, VP of Patient Experience, of Grady Health System discuss their journey to improve maternal health equity for black women. They will discuss how they focused their maternal health equity efforts by prioritizing the needs of their staff. They will share how they built trust among colleagues, explored cultural differences and created a series of cumulative pieces to improve both workforce and patient experiences for black women.

At the end of this session, learners will understand that:

  • Focusing on the patient experience requires a focus on the workforce
  • Courageous leadership and trust are critical to success
  • Co-design of improvement initiatives can increase acceptance and commitment
