Press Ganey, a leading global provider of experience technology, data, analytics, and insights, today announced that Chairman and CEO Patrick T. Ryan has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare of 2025. The complete ranking can be found in the December issue of Modern Healthcare magazine, and profiles of all the honorees are available online at ModernHealthcare.com/100MostInfluential.
This prestigious recognition program acknowledges and honors individuals who are deemed by the Modern Healthcare newsroom to be the most influential figures in the industry in terms of leadership and impact.
“Influence can be exerted in many ways but regardless of whether it is used to internally shape organizations, the healthcare industry as a whole or both, playing a positive role benefits patients and the professionals responsible for their health,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare. “Our ranked list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare highlights the executives in all corners of the industry who are striving to advance medicine and how care is delivered — and succeeding in doing so.”
Under Ryan’s leadership, Press Ganey has accelerated its enterprise-wide transformation, continuing to expand its capabilities, global reach, and impact across healthcare and other industries. Over the past year, he guided acquisitions of Hyperlift and InMoment, and announced Qualtrics’ intended $6.75 billion acquisition of the company, which would bring together enterprise-scale AI with Press Ganey’s deep domain expertise to shape the future of human experience.
He also expanded Press Ganey’s focus on safety, equity, and workforce well-being—advancing multi-year system-wide safety commitments, strengthening the Equity Partnership program for clients working to embed equity into their strategies, and launching programs like the Workforce Well-Being Collaborative to support the well-being of the healthcare workforce.
Ryan has advanced Press Ganey’s transformation by investing in the people who power it. In 2025, he launched the Employees for Employees (E4E) program, which provides rapid financial assistance to team members facing personal crises, ensuring meaningful support. He also continues to champion Press Ganey’s annual Community Day, which he established in his first year as CEO in 2013. This annual global tradition mobilizes thousands of employees to volunteer in their local communities. In 2025, Press Ganey volunteers participated in community events across 33 cities worldwide.
“I’m honored by this recognition, and it reflects the extraordinary work happening across Press Ganey,” said Ryan. “Every day, our people push the boundaries of what’s possible in Human Experience, bringing innovation, compassion, and deep expertise to the organizations we serve. I’m proud to lead a team that is raising the standard for safety and for how people experience care and support across their healthcare journeys.”
