Her work has earned her prestigious honors, including the 2025 Distinguished Alumna for Research from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and the 2022 AONL Foundation Nurse Researcher of the Year.

As we celebrate Nora’s remarkable legacy, I’m also pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Melora Ferren, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, NPD-BC, as Senior Director of Nursing Research & Analytics, effective November 3, 2025.
