The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) announced today that White Plains Hospital in New York received the 2025 ANCC Magnet Prize®, and that that Atrium Health Union in North Carolina received the 2025 ANCC Pathway Award®, both sponsored by Press Ganey. The recognitions were announced during the 2025 ANCC Magnet & Pathway Conference™ in Atlanta.

White Plains Hospital – 2025 ANCC Magnet Prize®

The ANCC Magnet Prize is presented annually to a Magnet® designated organization whose nursing team best demonstrates exemplary innovation in patient care delivery, including notable achievements both within practice and research resulting in improved patient health outcomes. White Plains Hospital will use the $125,000 prize to further develop its innovative project, Revolutionizing Diabetes Transitional Care: A Nurse-Led Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Model to Advance Equity and Outcomes.

This innovation addresses the fragmented post-discharge care and inadequate glycemic oversight experienced by people with poorly managed diabetes. When left unchecked, these oversights can lead to preventable complications which disproportionately affect people in marginalized communities.

“Congratulations to our partners at White Plains Hospital on receiving the 2025 ANCC Magnet Prize®,” said Jeff Doucette, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, FAAN, Chief Nursing Officer, Press Ganey. “Your nurse-led model for transitional diabetes care is a powerful example of how innovation and equity can transform patient outcomes. By leveraging real-time monitoring and proactive coaching, your team is reimagining chronic disease management and proving the vital role nurses play in leading technology-enabled care. We are honored to sponsor this recognition and look forward to seeing how your model inspires broader adoption across health systems nationwide.”

Atrium Health Union – 2025 ANCC Pathway Award®

The ANCC Pathway Award recognizes an ANCC Pathway to Excellence® organization for its advancements in a program that promotes innovation and exemplifies the Pathway to Excellence standards while promoting a positive practice setting. Atrium Health Union will receive $100,000 to scale its winning project, Preparing the Front-Line Nurse for AI, which utilizes a form of audio surveillance to assist with reducing the documentation burden for nurses, allowing for increased time with patients.

The goal is to encourage widespread adoption in order to improve documentation quality, enabling them to have more time and meaningful interactions with their patients. This innovation also has the potential to dramatically improve the quality of care, providing a scalable blueprint for the integration of AI within every practice setting.

“Congratulations to Atrium Health Union on being named the recipient of the 2025 ANCC Pathway Award®,” Doucette said. “Your forward-thinking approach to preparing nurses for AI adoption shows a deep commitment to supporting the frontline. The way Atrium is prioritizing psychological safety, reducing administrative burden, and creating space for more meaningful nurse-patient connection is setting a new standard for how technology should be introduced in healthcare. Press Ganey is proud to partner with Atrium and support this recognition of your leadership, and we are excited to see the positive impact your work will have across the profession.”
