Press Ganey, the leader in experience measurement, data analytics, and insights for health systems and health plans, is proud to announce that Chief Safety and Transformation Officer Tejal Gandhi, MD, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2025 list of “100 Women in Health IT to Know.”

This annual list honors leaders driving innovation at the intersection of technology and care, spotlighting the ways data, analytics, and AI are reshaping healthcare delivery.

We were thrilled to see Becker’s highlight both Dr. Gandhi and Press Ganey’s work to build AI-enabled technology that’s transforming how hospitals pursue zero harm,” said Patrick T. Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Press Ganey. “Her work continues to show that safety innovation can be both cutting-edge and deeply human—delivering insights that empower caregivers and improve outcomes.

As part of this commitment, she is leading efforts to build a first-of-its-kind artificial intelligence-enabled integrated analytics dashboard to combine safety culture data, safety event reporting, workforce experience, and patient perceptions—giving healthcare leaders a unified view of risk and actionable paths to improvement.

It’s an honor to stand among so many accomplished leaders who are transforming healthcare through technology,” said Dr. Gandhi. “Our shared goal is simple but powerful: to create safer, more human experiences for patients and caregivers alike—and the role technology can play in making that vision real.

Dr. Gandhi has focused her entire career on advancing patient and workforce safety at the hospital, health system and national level, with a particular focus on how technology can improve safety. A longtime advocate for data-driven transformation, Dr. Gandhi is shaping how health systems understand and act on safety, quality, and experience data. At Press Ganey, she continues to lead initiatives that make healthcare safer, more connected, and more compassionate. Her impact is felt nationally and globally. She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, with a focus on technology and decision support. Dr. Gandhi’s early research helped bring barcode medication administration into mainstream hospital practice, significantly reducing medication errors nationwide. In addition, she has played a key role in shaping national policy, including being a technical expert for the CMS’s 2024 Patient Safety Structural Measure and past co-Chair of the National Steering Committee for Patient Safety.
