How Florida’s leading academic health system decreased employee turnover by 34% by partnering with Press Ganey

Florida’s leading non-profit health system has grown significantly in the last decade, expanding from one hospital and 17 locations to six hospitals and 150 locations. As a result, the organization has doubled its number of employees since 2017.

Maintaining employee engagement during a growth phase is always difficult— and the organization saw early signs of challenges in this area even before the rapid expansion. In 2016, the system ranked in the 40th percentile for employee engagement among peer institutions in the Press Ganey benchmarking database—which prompted a journey to improve their ranking.
