HHCAHPS Home Health Care Survey

HOME HEALTH CARE CAHPS (HHCAHPS)

The Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) survey is a standardized tool used to measure patient perceptions of care delivered by Medicare-certified home health agencies (HHAs). With public reporting of HHCAHPS scores, improving patient experience is vital both to protecting your market share and optimizing reimbursement.

Press Ganey’s Home Health and HHCAHPS survey fulfills regulatory requirements and includes patient-centered items to help agencies identify opportunities to create a better patient experience.

By capturing and analyzing patient and family perceptions of your service, you will understand performance relative to peers, uncover opportunities to improve performance and design improvement initiatives to better meet the needs of your community.

Below is a timeline of major HHCAHPS milestones to date, and a schedule of upcoming dates for public reporting. Please note that, according to CMS, the future dates are estimates based on current timetables and are subject to change.

HHAs will be able to preview their own HHCAHPS results about two weeks prior to public reporting.
