Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH) — These hospitals, with average lengths of stay in excess of 25 days, have unique issues related to patient satisfaction. Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation — Commonly called medical rehabilitation, the goals are to return the patients home and to work. In doing so, patients work vigorously in therapies to build muscles, fine motor coordination, speech, cognitive abilities, and other developmental areas. These surveys evaluate the full patient experience, including rehabilitation nursing and therapies. These surveys are used widely in hospital and freestanding settings.
